Marvel Studios reportedly is doing work on its 1st element movie with an Asian hero as the direct.

Marvel failed to quickly react to a ask for for remark, but Deadline reported Monday that the studio is preparing a movie about Shang-Chi, also named the Grasp of Kung Fu. 

The character, a learn of unarmed fight, 1st appeared in Marvel comics in 1973, when the ABC Tv set drama Kung Fu, starring David Carradine, was common. Shang-Chi was born the son of supervillain Fu Manchu, but afterwards opposed his father’s methods. In 2013, he joined The Avengers.

 

In accordance to Deadline, Chinese-American author Dave Callaham, who wrote the script for the impending Wonder Woman 1984 together with Patty Jenkins and Geoff Johns, will compose the screenplay.
